Collage Final Process

 I started the process of making my collage knowing that I wanted to include myself in the collage in selfie form because I knew it would center the piece. Then I looked for any magazine cuttings that called to me. Seeing the things I pulled out made me think of how everyone around you may look like one thing, but you haven't even seen a glimpse of their true self. So, I approached this as a look into my head- my hopes, fears, dreams, struggles, and beliefs. Following that, once I had my selfie glued down, I just started ripping the cuttings that I had into random shapes and randomly seeing what fit where and with what outline. I wanted it to show the chaos and randomness that makes up me, but how it all fits together to create who I am.
